The message about global warming was sent across clearly but the authors, if that was their message. Maximum Ride Volume 8 was a quick enjoyable but weird read with plenty to do with global warming and good art. But, hey! Something is better than nothing. The flock did have some action in this book, alot of small things did happen through the plot where you saw the characters develop ever so little.
Yet, there was a moment here or there where I smiled. The good guys always win, Fang's blog was cheesy, the guys with all the power are evil, mother loves daughter no matter what. Not only was it predictable, but cheesy too. I am beginning to lose interest in the series due to this particular volume. The capturers were the typical capturers, what they did and who they were was simple. There wasn't much development in the plot this time round, there wasn't any plot twist and the characters never did anything to surprise us, they got predictable. Unless they changed their DNA for that too. Her breasts are far too developed for a 14 year old, she has the hourglass figure. But look at how she is drawn, i genuinely thought she was 17 for most of the series.
Max is fourteen! She behaves as if she is at least 16 in a YA novel. That the characters ages are so young for all they do and how they behave. The weirdest part of this series is their age. After a long wait for the library to order this book, it was worth it. The eighth volume of Maximum Ride the manga adaption is finally in my hands. Lastly there was on thing left to do, it was to meet up with there global warming scientist after being caught up to finding out there was two moles and not just one Max lead a meeting with the Government about thing that they can do in order to save the world. A big car flew in to on of the widows and then they had there chance to escape. At that time there was a Hurricane going on that was at first category 4 then turned to a 5. Later they were found and the happiness did not last long and they where caught my a new group with the leader being called Gozen, Gozen order for his companions to take all of them for a action that was going to happen. Later Max notices and ask everyone if they seen them, and at the meantime there a bad winter storm going on.
Angle the youngest one is caught up with the cuteness of the small penguins she ask for one and being told no leave walk away and later on finding herself stuck after falling in a snow crack with with her new nest friend Akila a dog and Total the talking dog. While still getting used to the cold they stumble upon a group of penguins huddled up together to preserve heat to one another.
